OddsJam, Unabated, and the other “market based” betting products are built to generate a massive number of alerts. (Probably too many alerts, we aren’t reading all that). The alerts aren’t tracked –and the impetus is put on you as a user to filter through the noise and figure out which alerts are “good” and which are just bad bets that accidentally checked the right box.

Steam chasing is the most effective top-down methodology. Instead of just looking at a current snapshot of the market (like the "de-vig" people do), steam chasing adds context using price movement.

Let's say the odds on the Chiefs are -120 at at sharp sportsbook. If the odds just moved from -110 to -120, that is more interesting than if the odds opened at -120 and stayed there all day. The "de-vig" method treats both situations the same, GP Picks+ does not.
